A beautiful stoneware mug from the Fired Earth collection, created exclusively by Bristol ceramicist Lucy Winch. Made from a stoneware clay body from St Amand en Puisaye, France, with added flecked stoneware clay, and fired to 1260°C in an oxidation firing in Lucy’s Bristol studio for a hard-wearing, watertight finish. Each mug is glazed using a layering technique of two glazes — a speckled grey satin-matt glaze with blushes of pink and yellow, and a mottled ochre satin-matt glaze in vibrant orange and yellow — which overlap to create a rich, autumnal palette of ochre and umber. Even the base feels tactile to the touch.
Measuring H6.5cm x D8cm. Dishwasher safe and food safe.
