Summer fields of beautiful golden sunflowers are the inspiration behind this print. The image is created using a unique hand carved lino block, developed from Sam’s original drawing, and each one is hand-burnished and hand-pulled by her. They are then titled and signed in pencil. Each one is an original lino cut print of sunflowers, hand-printed in ochre yellow ink onto delicate handmade 30gsm Nepalese Lokta paper. The paper is a light, natural, warm off-white colour, with natural fibres running through it and a beautiful translucency.
Each print measures just smaller than A2 size – approx. 55 x 40cm (approx 22 x 16”) and has hand torn/deckled edges. The actual image size is approx. 50 x 24 cm. The print could be framed with a mount or would look great floated in a large frame. Your print will arrive cello wrapped and board backed and protected with board to keep it flat.
As each one is carefully printed by hand, there may be minor differences in print – this is all part of the joys of hand printing and makes every item unique.
