The Gathering Art Print

I love this bold graphic art print by my friend Ruth showing a group of friends sitting around a campfire.  This illustration was originally created for the front cover Halo Literary Magazine – Issue 2 – Embers.  As part of the theme of embers, it shows a fireside gathering of friends round a camp fire.

Ruth’s work normally starts off as black pen drawings which she scans and vectorises so I can work with them digitally. All of her colour and composition work is carried out on the computer. She generally starts her illustrations and compositions using block colours and then combines them with photographic textures to add depth and complexity.
